What a map costs, and what you get

Two completely different kinds of work, priced two different ways. Individual commissions have published tiers. Studio and publisher work is quoted per project.

For one-off commissions — your campaign, your homebrew world, your table. Every tier includes gridded and grid-less versions, plus print and virtual-tabletop resolutions as standard. ?? example images are illustrative — Gigio to confirm which pieces represent each tier

Basic

$30 – $80

A clean, readable map built to your brief. The structure, the terrain, the layout — everything the table needs to play on, and nothing it doesn’t.

  • Full colour, 10″×10″ increments, top-down
  • Structure, walls, floor and terrain
  • Gridded and grid-less versions
  • Print resolution and VTT resolution

Embellished

$81 – $120

Everything in Basic, then furnished and dressed. Props, clutter, richer texture work, and a lighting pass so the same map reads differently by day and by night.

  • Full furnishing, props and set dressing
  • Richer texture and material work
  • Day / night or alternate lighting pass
  • Everything included in Basic

Complex

$121 – $350+

Multi-level builds, large-format world and regional cartography, bespoke set pieces. The maps that carry a whole campaign rather than a single encounter.

  • Multi-level and multi-room builds
  • Large-format world and regional maps
  • Bespoke set pieces designed from scratch
  • Layered Photoshop originals available
  • Everything included in Embellished
Example of a Complex tier map

Add-ons available on any tier: rush delivery in 48–72 hours · extra revision rounds · additional tiles or a larger map area · alternate lighting versions · commercial licence by arrangement.

Line contracts, crowdfunding campaigns and sourcebook cartography are quoted project by project, against your schedule and your budget. Send me your turnover — a sketch and a context document is enough to quote from.

How it usually works

One cartographer, one visual language, a whole line

Four interlocking tile sets for Modiphius’ Conan line and two for Star Trek Adventures were built exactly this way — consistent across every release, one point of contact, delivered against print deadlines.
